Research Resident, AIxBio Threats and Mitigations

• Assess how frontier AI enables biological misuse and develop safeguards and detection approaches.
• Identify concerning AI capabilities at the AI × Bio intersection and develop indicators for capability shifts.
• Build detection methods for technology providers to identify misuse before harm occurs.
• Create contingency planning frameworks for frontier model biological risks.
• Translate technical analysis into recommendations for developers, policymakers, and partners.

This role contributes to global biosecurity by preventing the misuse of AI in biological threats, thereby protecting public health and safety.

• Strong background in AI, biology, or related fields.
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Ability to translate technical analysis into actionable recommendations.
