Managing Director

• Set SecureDNA's biosecurity direction and domain strategy.
• Build systems, processes, tooling, and vendor/contractor relationships to enable a small, distributed team to scale.
• Own hiring and people operations across full-time employees and contractors.
• Manage, mentor, and support existing staff.
• Own SecureDNA's long- and short-term financial sustainability, including funding strategy and financial control.

This role directly shapes the strategic direction of a biosecurity organization, contributing to global efforts to prevent misuse of DNA synthesis and enhance biosecurity.

• Experience in leadership and management, preferably in a biosecurity or scientific organization.
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
• Experience with hiring, people operations, and team development.
• Financial management and fundraising experience.
