Senior Accounting Manager

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP, maintaining ownership of underlying records and reconciliations.
• Manage restricted fund reporting, reconcile restricted net assets, and coordinate with Development and Program Finance.
• Oversee accounting for the Canada affiliate, including GST filings and board financial reports.
• Supervise and mentor two accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

This role ensures financial integrity and compliance, enabling Orbis International to effectively allocate resources toward eliminating avoidable blindness and providing eye care globally.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years supervising direct reports.
• Minimum 5 years of non-profit fund accounting experience with hands-on management of restricted net assets.
• Experience coordinating or preparing Form 990 and 990T filings.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MIP, and accounting software; strong analytical and communication skills.
