Job description

Established in 2009, TAT began with a simple, yet powerful, belief: every truck driver can be a crucial ally in the fight against human trafficking. Today, TAT is an international, non-profit organization that educates, equips, empowers and mobilizes members of key industries and agencies to combat human trafficking. To accomplish its mission, TAT partners with the trucking, truck stop, motorcoach, transit, school transportation and energy industries, as well as law enforcement and government agencies throughout North America, to activate their workforces to prevent and disrupt human trafficking. To date, TAT has trained over 2.6 million people and established public and private sector partnerships in 50 U.S. states and eight Canadian provinces and territories. TAT works alongside industry leaders, who become force multipliers to spread awareness about human trafficking to their employees and within the communities in which they live and work. TAT is seeking someone who is an excellent communicator, with strong administrative and organizational skills, and effective at maintaining and growing relationships. The IO Specialist will join an active team that manages multiple segments within the trucking industry, helping move partners from initial recruitment all the way through to training activation, policy implementation, corporate sponsorship and a long-term commitment to fighting human trafficking. In addition, the IO Specialist will manage critical, long-term industry relationships with commercial vehicle industry associations, trade schools, driver-Ambassadors, training academies, and assist in the development and implementation of outreach and awareness campaigns. This position will represent TAT nationally at industry events, engage new and maintain current relationships with training companies, as well as building their portfolio of corporate sponsors. Key responsibilities include: Travel, attend and exhibit at trucking industry events throughout the U.S. to share information about TAT’s programs, free training resources and engagement opportunities. Events may include conferences, trade shows, and expos, with TAT’s role typically involving managing a booth and recruiting new potential partners. Develop and maintain relationships with trucking industry stakeholders to generate inroads to achieve new partners, projects, and donors. Provide administrative organization and leadership to the department by tracking partnership data, progress, and outcomes within Salesforce. Partner with TAT’s director of operations to process and intake companies that come through external learning management system partners LMS and conduct regular audits of trucking companies using TAT training materials to ensure the impact of programming is known. Design, coordinate and implement driver-focused campaigns throughout the year. Develop and retain a portfolio of donors to sustain and expand TAT’s reach and impact. Other duties as assigned. Successful candidates will have: A strong desire to combat human trafficking (background knowledge desired). Ability to make this your full-time career (longevity preferred). Experience serving multi-ethnic/cultural communities preferred. Adaptability and curiosity welcomed. Strong people skills and organizational skills. Strong ability to build relationships, follow up on opportunities and grow partnerships. Ability to travel 20% of the time. Advanced skills with Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience working with Salesforce preferred. Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, plan time and schedule accordingly, stay on task while working with a variety of people, coordinate and keep track of multiple details and problem solve successfully. High initiative, ability to self-start, work independently devoid of office setting and meet or exceed daily deadlines. Please note the selected candidate will be required to submit to a criminal records check.
