Job description
Established in 2009, TAT began with a simple, yet powerful, belief: every truck driver can be a crucial ally in the fight against human trafficking. Today, TAT is an international, non-profit organization that educates, equips, empowers and mobilizes members of key industries and agencies to combat human trafficking. To accomplish its mission, TAT partners with the trucking, truck stop, motorcoach, transit, school transportation and energy industries, as well as law enforcement and government agencies throughout North America, to activate their workforces to prevent and disrupt human trafficking. To date, TAT has trained over 2.6 million people and established public and private sector partnerships in 50 U.S. states and eight Canadian provinces and territories. TAT works alongside industry leaders, who become force multipliers to spread awareness about human trafficking to their employees and within the communities in which they live and work. About This Role TAT is seeking a passionate account manager and public speaker with proven partnership management experience to help maintain and grow TAT’s flagship training program for the trucking industry. Established in 2009 as TAT’s first program, TAT provides free-industry specific training to the trucking industry, including over-the-road drivers, local/final mile drivers, as well as tank truck and auto hauler professionals. The Corporate Engagement Manager will travel around the U.S. to share information about TAT’s programs and free training resources at industry conferences, events, and trade shows. The Corporate Engagement Manager will join a dynamic team of passionate, dedicated and hardworking individuals who advance anti-trafficking initiatives within the transportation industry. Industry experience is a plus but not required. Integrity, empathy, and the inclination to be a team player are desired. Core Responsibilities Travel nationally to exhibit, train, and meet with stakeholders, and share about TAT’s programs and involvement options. Events may include conferences, association events, safety meetings, industry-wide events, private corporate events, etc. Present on webinars and participate in virtual meetings with partners and prospects. Represent TAT to the media, as needed. Develop and maintain a robust portfolio of corporate sponsors and partnerships towards expanding TAT’s reach and impact. Work alongside trucking partners to expand training, facilitate collaboration and enhance awareness of human trafficking within their companies and organizations. Collaborate, ideate and add input to assist with ongoing program development and expansion. Input and track relevant partnership data, progress and outcomes in Salesforce. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications A strong desire to combat human trafficking (background knowledge desired). Ability to make this your full-time career (longevity preferred). Experience within the transportation industry is preferred. Experience serving multi-ethnic/cultural communities preferred. Adaptability and curiosity are welcomed. Exceptional public speaking skills. Strong ability to build relationships, follow up on opportunities and grow partnerships. Ability to travel up to 35% of the time (expenses covered by TAT). Proximity to a major airport is preferred. Experience working with Salesforce preferred. Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, plan time and schedule accordingly, stay on task while working with a variety of people, coordinate and keep track of multiple details and problem solve successfully. Advanced skills with Google products, as well as the Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. High initiative, ability to self-start, work independently devoid of office setting and meet or exceed daily deadlines.
