Role details

Monitor and improve infection prevention in Nevada hemodialysis facilities through surveillance, outbreak investigation, and facility training.
- Analyze NHSN data to identify hemodialysis facilities for assessments and monitor healthcare-associated infection trends statewide.
- Conduct outbreak investigations in healthcare facilities and assist facilities with NHSN enrollment and compliance training.
- Build relationships with CMS-funded networks and participate in CDC's Making Dialysis Safer coalition.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, health science, or related field plus two years public health experience.
- Minimum two years working with hemodialysis facilities; NHSN administrator experience and infection control certification required or preferred.
