Education in Emergencies Specialist - Roster Recruitment

• Provide technical support to Plan International's education response and programming in specific crises, ensuring alignment with global standards and gender equality.
• Lead rapid Education Needs Assessments and Multi-Sector Needs Assessments to identify urgent education needs.
• Ensure effective planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of integrated education responses.
• Represent Plan at relevant coordination mechanisms and contribute to Education Cluster response plans and advocacy.

This role ensures children, adolescents, and youth in humanitarian crises have access to safe, inclusive, quality education, supporting their learning continuity and wellbeing while advancing gender equality and children's rights.

• Significant experience in humanitarian crises and implementing first-line education response, safe inclusive quality education programmes, and integration with other sectors.
• Proven track record in securing funding from public and private streams and managing Education in Emergencies portfolios.
• Strong team management experience and commitment to safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse.
• Bilingual in English plus French or Spanish (Spanish prioritized for Venezuela response); HEAT or equivalent security training within past 3 years.

Roster membership is unpaid, but when deployed you receive a salary, per diem, accommodation, and travel costs. Access to online humanitarian courses and regular engagement with Deployment Manager.
