Communications Assistant

Pike Animal Welfare Shelter is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Remote Communications Assistant to support daily communication and administrative activities. The ideal candidate must have excellent written communication skills, fast typing speed, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to emails, phone calls, and general inquiries. Respond to questions about the animal shelter, available animals, adoption procedures, and adoption requirements. Provide prospective adopters with accurate information about the adoption process and direct complex inquiries to the appropriate staff. Prepare, edit, and organize letters, reports, and digital documents. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. Fast and accurate typing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and email platforms. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Reliable internet access and a computer suitable for remote work.
