Staff/Principal Product Designer

• Take on the highest priority product challenges with broad customer and business impact, shaping design direction for new horizon projects used by hundreds of thousands worldwide.
• Work across product streams to shape problem framing, product direction, and experience principles; lead discovery and research to understand user motivations and energy literacy.
• Design thoughtful, scalable solutions across mobile and web; partner with Product and Engineering leaders to align on strategic decisions and ensure execution quality.
• Raise the bar for design craft and user experience through example, critique, and shared standards; mentor designers of all levels without formal management responsibilities.

This role directly accelerates Australia's transition to 100% renewable energy by designing products that make it easy and rewarding for customers to shift energy usage to times when renewables are abundant, and to export stored energy when it has the highest impact.

• Well over 10 years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years already operating at a Staff or Principal level.
• Track record of designing mobile and web experiences at scale across multiple platforms and markets.
• Ability to bring order to ambiguous, messy problem spaces while maintaining quality and humanity of experience.
• Strong visual and interaction craft; comfortable working cross-functionally with PMs, engineers, and execs.
