Software Engineer, Infrastructure Security

Design and build critical security infrastructure services protecting OpenAI's AI supercomputing clusters and production environments.
- Architect production-grade security services including authentication systems, access brokers, secure proxies, and key-management platforms for high-scale distributed environments.
- Partner with infrastructure and research engineers to embed security into GPU clusters and Kubernetes environments without compromising performance or protection.
- Develop automation and detection tooling to identify and mitigate risks across large-scale cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Drive high-impact security initiatives such as line-speed encryption, machine identity, and network isolation for emerging AI workloads.
- Requires strong software engineering in Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++; experience building critical security infrastructure; expertise in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and modern authentication standards.
