(Senior) Research Manager, Weather Data Systems

Design and scale automated weather data pipelines delivering actionable forecasts to smallholder farmers across multiple dissemination channels.
- Oversee end-to-end pipeline converting scientific forecasts into location-specific farmer messages via voice, SMS, WhatsApp, apps, or LLM systems.
- Ensure fast, error-free delivery of time-sensitive data; design for replicability across geographies and dissemination vendors.
- Translate between forecast science, engineering, and program teams; document architecture and decision logic for maintenance and extension.
- Requires degree in computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, or related technical field with strong quantitative skills.
- Requires experience building or managing data pipelines involving real-time or automated processing; proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar tools.
