Senior Specialist, Senior Accountant - Shared Financial Services

• Supports chapters in accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Reviews and approves donation batches, prepares bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Leads month end close process, runs meetings, and serves as main point of contact for portfolio of chapters.
• Assists with gathering information for annual audit process and helps prepare chapter’s audit workbooks.

This role ensures accurate financial reporting and processing for chapters, enabling Make-A-Wish to efficiently allocate resources to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting and/or financial reporting required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, including demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in Salesforce and NetSuite strongly preferred; working knowledge of nonprofit organizations strongly preferred.
