Investment Officer, Northwest Arkansas

• Identify and cultivate early-stage investment opportunities across the Northwest Arkansas ecosystem, building and maintaining an organized pipeline aligned with Village Capital's impact thesis.
• Lead financial analysis, due diligence, and investment structuring for revenue-based financing (redeemable equity and revenue-based debt) to early-stage companies.
• Manage end-to-end deal execution from sourcing through close, coordinating with internal teams and external legal counsel.
• Serve as Village Capital's on-the-ground presence in NWA, engaging with ecosystem partners, investors, and portfolio companies.

This role directly supports underserved early-stage companies in Northwest Arkansas by deploying innovative capital structures that traditional financing often overlooks, thereby fostering inclusive economic growth and enabling mission-driven entrepreneurs to scale their impact.

• 3 to 7 years of experience at a CDFI, bank, investment organization, or accelerator within Arkansas, with direct exposure to early-stage companies and financing decisions.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and building financial projections; comfort with P&L modeling, unit economics, and early-stage valuation approaches.
• Familiarity with alternative financing structures (redeemable equity and revenue-share debt) and ability to match instruments to business models.
• Established presence in the NWA entrepreneurial ecosystem or demonstrated ability to build credibility quickly; proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling.

Base salary of $85,000–$100,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
