Executive Director

• Lead and manage all fundraising activities to grow and diversify revenue through major donors, corporate sponsorships, events, and grants.
• Serve as the primary liaison and advocate for the rare cancer patient community, overseeing patient support programs and educational resources.
• Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the strategic plan, and manage day-to-day operations including financial planning, staff supervision, and compliance.
• Advocate for research funding and clinical trial access, lead research grant and patient registry programs, and elevate the organization's public profile through marketing and awareness campaigns.

This role directly improves outcomes for patients with appendiceal cancer by funding research, providing patient support and education, and raising awareness for this rare and challenging disease.

• 5+ years of senior leadership experience in the non-profit or healthcare sector with a proven track record in fundraising, board/volunteer management, and programmatic leadership.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal and networking abilities, and comfort with public speaking and advocacy.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced, remote work environment as a self-starter.
• Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, public health, business, or related field (Master's preferred); proficiency with CRM/donor management software, QuickBooks, and payroll systems.
