Events Program Lead, Special Events and Virtual Programs

Design and lead high-impact convenings and virtual events for the effective altruism community, from strategy through execution.
- Special Events Lead: Identify and produce small, carefully curated convenings (20–60 people) for senior leaders and key stakeholders; own strategy, attendee selection, logistics, and follow-up.
- Virtual Program Lead: Build and scale CEA's virtual events portfolio by designing events as products, measuring outcomes rigorously, and iterating quickly.
- Combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution: set program direction, manage vendors and contractors, and personally deliver high-quality attendee experiences.
- Requires event design and production experience, deep understanding of the EA community, and ability to manage complex projects with fixed deadlines independently.
- Requires management experience or willingness to hire and lead team members as programs grow; 3–10 annual trips for team retreats and events.
