Mission

What you will drive

  • Develop and execute an annual recruitment plan to grow and engage a volunteer attorney network, targeting 50+ new volunteers annually.
  • Build and manage relationships with law firms, corporate legal departments, and bar associations to recruit pro bono attorneys.
  • Maintain a relational database to track volunteers, hours, case outcomes, and partnerships; prepare data for funders and stakeholders.
  • Support volunteer attorneys with case inquiries, resources, and occasional case handling.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in Connecticut (or eligibility for prompt admission).
  • 3-5+ years of legal practice, preferably in child protection, public interest, legal aid, litigation, or pro bono coordination.
  • Exceptional public speaking, networking, and presentation skills; proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Bloomerang) and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Connecticut's legal landscape, including law firms, DCF, and social service agencies; ability to travel statewide.
