Development Manager

• Lead and coordinate fundraising efforts, including soliciting major gifts, writing grant applications, and implementing the fundraising plan.
• Manage donor relations, cultivate new prospects, and steward existing donors through personalized communication and events.
• Oversee development operations, including maintaining donor database, generating reports, and coordinating fundraising campaigns and special events.

This role directly supports Hashomer Hatzair USA and Camp Shomria in fostering progressive Jewish values, youth leadership, and social justice, enabling transformative experiences for youth and strengthening the community.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; minimum 3 years of proven experience in fundraising, development, or community relations with success as a frontline solicitor.
• Experience soliciting major gifts and identifying/cultivating new major gift prospects; advanced CRM software skills (Little Green Light a plus).
• Familiarity with Judaism, the Jewish community, and Israel; passion for Jewish camping and understanding of camp impact.
• Ability to travel, work some weekends/evenings, and participate in professional development; Hebrew proficiency a plus.

$35,000-$40,000 per year for part-time (20 hours/week); 10 vacation days per year; remote or office work option; inclusive and equitable workplace.
