Director of Global Philanthropy (Major Gifts)

• Lead the strategy and performance of a major gifts program generating $6M+ annually, including donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for gifts of $10,000–$1,000,000+.
• Manage and mentor a team of 3 Philanthropy Officers, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Manage a personal portfolio of high-value major donors and prospects, partnering with CEO and senior leadership on high-stakes donor meetings.
• Collaborate with program staff, finance, operations, and IT to optimize CRM use, develop dashboards, and ensure compliance and ethical fundraising.

This role drives transformational philanthropic investment to end factory farming worldwide, directly supporting The Humane League's mission to dismantle factory farming and create lasting change for farmed animals.

• 9+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including 5+ years of major gifts experience within a program raising at least $5M annually.
• Demonstrated success securing six- and seven-figure gifts from a portfolio of major donors.
• 3+ years of direct staff management with a track record of developing high-performance teams.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate complex programs into compelling donor narratives.

Salary range: $119,630–$138,737 base, with an 8.33% market premium adjustment bringing total compensation to $129,595–$150,294 annually.
