Social Media Strategist

• Develop and execute platform-native content strategies to grow organic reach, engagement, and follower base across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, Reddit, and emerging channels.
• Create and maintain content calendars in collaboration with Communications and Marketing Managers and broader campaign teams.
• Monitor performance data rigorously, analyze what works and why, and translate insights into continuously sharpened content strategy.
• Appear on camera as needed for educational, campaign, behind-the-scenes, reaction, explainer, and trend-based content.

This role amplifies Animal Equality's message to mainstream audiences, translating complex animal protection issues into compelling content that drives action and reduces animal suffering.

• At least 3 years of demonstrated hands-on social media experience for a brand or mission-driven organization.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, Reddit, and emerging platforms, including audience demographics, content formats, and algorithm behaviors.
• Proven track record of growing organic social channels and driving measurable engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging short-form video content and comfort appearing on camera.

Salary: $58,000 - $62,000 per year.
