Chief Operating Officer

• Lead organization-wide operational planning, designing frameworks that strengthen efficiency, accountability, and alignment across departments.
• Drive revenue growth and operational performance by developing strategies across e-commerce, publishing, events, and other business lines.
• Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and performance oversight for leaders of Marketplace, IT, People & Culture, Finance, and Strategic Initiatives.
• Oversee financial stewardship, risk management, and compliance, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.

This role enables Sigma to expand its global impact by strengthening operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and strategic execution, ultimately delivering greater value to members and advancing the nursing profession.

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, including at least 5 years in a senior or executive role.
• Experience overseeing enterprise operations across multiple functional areas (IT, HR, Finance, Strategic Initiatives, or e-commerce).
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Proven ability to supervise senior leaders, build high-performing teams, and lead organizational change.

Salary range: $145,000 - $175,000. Hybrid and remote-friendly role for U.S.-based professionals. Domestic and international travel expected 5-6 times per year.
