Chief Operating Officer

• Oversee Human Resources, Technology, and Operations teams, setting department strategy and culture.

This role ensures the Animal Legal Defense Fund operates efficiently and effectively, enabling the organization to protect animals through high-impact lawsuits, legal advocacy, and policy reform.

• 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in Administration/Operations, HR, or Technology, preferably in a nonprofit or legal setting.
• 5+ years in a formal people leadership role with inclusive leadership track record.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MA, JD) preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills; commitment to animal protection mission.
