Call for consultant - Research Analyst, Middle East

• Contribute to ACLED analysis by authoring original outputs focusing on the Middle East.
• Support data collection, review, and enrichment to improve regional coverage.
• Provide expert analysis and commentary for donors, stakeholders, and media.

This role supports the collection and analysis of conflict data that informs journalism, academic research, and policy decisions, contributing to a better understanding of political violence and protest in the Middle East.

• Experience in conflict analysis and extensive knowledge of politics and society in Yemen, Iraq, and/or the Gulf.
• At least 2 years of work experience providing actionable insights to diverse audiences.
• Master’s Degree in Political Science/Social Sciences/Geography/Sociology focused on conflict studies or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; familiarity with ACLED dataset and data analysis/visualization software.

Fully remote consultancy; 20 hours per week with possibility to increase to 30 hours per week. Salary not specified.
