Staff Software Engineer / Tech Lead

• Own technical direction for core systems design and architecture, balancing pace, reliability, and business needs.
• Deploy AI technology at industrial recycling plants, working end-to-end from problem identification to shipped feature.
• Collaborate closely with customers and ML team to turn model outputs into usable products for plant operators.

This role directly enables industrial recyclers to become more profitable and efficient through AI, accelerating the circular economy and reducing waste.

• 5+ years in fast-shipping environments with strong monitoring and testing fundamentals.
• Deep experience with Python, Django, React/React Native, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud.
• Proven ability to lead user-facing projects end-to-end and make architectural decisions with trade-offs.
• Comfortable with autonomy, traveling to customer sites or London HQ monthly, and timezone within +/-2 hrs of London.

• Competitive salary and share option plan; for London, UK: £140,000 - £160,000.
