Staff Software Engineer, Backend

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for Archer's ride-sharing and airline operational platforms.
• Build cloud-native applications using Python and AWS, and lead architectural design and system integrations.
• Own the full development lifecycle from design to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor fellow engineers.

This role directly contributes to advancing sustainable air mobility by building the cloud infrastructure that powers Archer's all-electric aircraft, reducing carbon emissions and noise pollution in urban transportation.

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience with scalable systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python.
• Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
