Role details
A one-year research fellowship enabling UK-based senior and mid-career researchers to pursue full-time research without teaching or administrative duties.
- Salary support for a teaching replacement and up to £5,000 in research expenses (consumables, equipment, travel).
- Requires PhD or equivalent and a permanent post at a UK university or not-for-profit institution.
- Research must fall within Royal Society's natural sciences remit: biological sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, physics.
- Mid-career candidates particularly encouraged; preference given to those demonstrating urgent need for research relief.
- Award duration: one term to one academic year; applications reviewed by expert panel with independent peer assessment.
