Senior Regulatory Attorney

Core responsibilities:

• Manage state energy regulatory matters and provide legal advice on state energy regulatory and legal issues including litigation, compliance, enforcement, and advisory matters
• Stay abreast of FERC proceedings and make recommendations regarding company involvement in proceedings that enable commercial adoption of innovative energy technology
• Represent the company in regulatory proceedings and manage interventions, protests, and other adversary proceedings
• Review, negotiate and draft interconnection and transmission service agreements, and provide analysis on energy efficiency, renewable energy, rate design, and electricity markets

This role helps advance clean energy technologies and enables commercial adoption of innovative energy solutions that make clean, reliable energy affordable globally, contributing to sustainability and the evolving net zero ecosystem.

Required skills and experience:

• JD with strong academic background, active and in good standing with at least one U.S. State bar
• Minimum 15 years' experience in energy regulatory practice including experience as a regulatory or project finance associate at a law firm
• State utility commission experience required; familiarity with FERC desired
• Extensive experience in the electric power industry with renewable energy experience preferred
