Senior Consultant, Environmental Monitor (Fixed-Term)

• Conduct regular on-site environmental monitoring throughout all phases of construction to ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulatory requirements, and environmental protection plans.
• Document site conditions, contractor compliance, and environmental issues using detailed field notes, photographs, and daily monitoring reports.
• Lead fish salvage operations in accordance with provincial and federal regulations, applying fish capture techniques including minnow trapping, electrofishing, and seining.
• Assess, install, and maintain erosion and sediment control measures and monitor water quality parameters to verify compliance with regulatory thresholds.

Your expertise will help clients in the mining and energy sectors deliver projects responsibly across every phase of the project lifecycle, ensuring environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and responsible development while contributing directly to ERM's global strategy and long-term impact.

• Diploma or degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or a related discipline.
• Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) or equivalent professional designation.
• 3+ years of experience conducting environmental monitoring on construction projects.
• Electrofishing certification and demonstrated experience leading fish salvage operations.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and adherence to established procedures.
• Knowledge of federal, provincial, and territorial environmental regulations related to construction.

Anticipated annual base pay is $76,819–$98,928 (CAD).
