Environmental Project Manager (Engineering)

• Manage orphaned oil and gas well plugging projects from identification through emissions quantification and remediation.
• Plan and execute field operations, including overseeing contractors, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze data from field equipment and databases to support carbon credit verification and project development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance multiple projects in the pipeline.

This role directly combats climate change by preventing methane emissions from orphaned oil and gas wells, reducing potent greenhouse gases and generating high-integrity carbon credits that fund further climate action.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, or petroleum preferred).
• 3-5 years of field-based experience in oil and gas operations (production engineering, drilling, well plugging, etc.).
• Proven project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience with data analysis and modeling in Excel; familiarity with carbon project development preferred.

Salary range: $100,000–$120,000 USD annually (U.S.-based).
