Request for Proposals, Extreme Power Concentration

Longview Philanthropy seeks to fund proposals to better understand and reduce the risk of AI enabling the extreme concentration of power. Funds projects across twelve areas: foundational research, monitoring, AI integrity, company policies, law-following AI, government oversight, autonomous weapons, surveillance, political economy, citizen tools, compute, field building.

This role helps mitigate the risk of AI enabling extreme concentration of power, promoting a more equitable distribution of power in society.

• Proposals should target power concentration, respond rapidly, aim ambitiously, and anticipate advancing AI.
• Develop or transition skills via course buy-outs, post-docs, training, stipends.
