Remote Climate Consultancy to Strengthen Climate Adaptation Programme Positioning and Readiness for Future Climate Funding

This consultancy will support four Concern country programmes to strengthen climate adaptation thinking, programme conceptualisation and positioning for future climate funding. Key responsibilities include:

• Review existing programmes and identify interventions with relevance to climate adaptation and resilience.
• Facilitate workshops and provide technical coaching to strengthen programme logic using design tools (e.g., theories of change, results chains).
• Develop country-specific recommendations and roadmaps to improve readiness for climate funding.
• Produce a final report summarising findings, lessons learned, and recommendations for scaling.

This role directly strengthens the capacity of Concern Worldwide to deliver climate adaptation programmes in vulnerable communities, enhancing resilience to climate change and improving access to dedicated climate funding that supports locally led adaptation efforts.

Required expertise and qualifications:

• Experience designing and implementing climate adaptation and resilience programmes in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
• Demonstrated experience with major climate finance mechanisms (e.g., GCF, Adaptation Fund, Loss and Damage Fund, IKI).
• Experience in concept note and proposal development for institutional donors.
• Strong remote facilitation and communication skills; fluency in French required.

This is a remote consultancy contract for approximately 18–20 days over 7–8 weeks. Compensation details are not specified in the posting.
