What you will drive

Lead state and local public health partnerships to translate pathogen detection into effective pandemic response.
- Build trusted relationships with state and local health officials; serve as internal expert on their workflows, constraints, and decision-making.
- Translate technical biosurveillance findings into clear, actionable communications for public health partners during routine and crisis situations.
- Develop response protocols, escalation frameworks, and crisis communication templates tailored to different audiences and detection scenarios.
- Lead response coordination when concerning signals are detected, from initial assessment through stakeholder alerting and resolution.
- Requires 7+ years in public health or state/local health official engagement, plus demonstrated outbreak response or response policy experience.
