Program Officer

• Identify opportunities to improve farmed shrimp welfare and commission research to address them.
• Conduct structured conversations with shrimp farmers, scientists, and industry stakeholders to map welfare issues and scientific gaps.
• Co-design research projects with scientists by identifying priority questions and shaping proposals with clear theories of change.
• Facilitate grantmaking activities including reviewing proposals and managing grantees.

This role directly improves the welfare of farmed shrimp, reducing suffering in aquaculture and promoting more humane practices.

• Experience in animal welfare, aquaculture, or related field.
• Strong research and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
