Role details

Law students gain practical animal law experience through remote externships and volunteer positions with a leading animal protection organization.
- Research and draft legal materials on animal law topics including housing disputes, custody, dangerous dog designations, and property law issues.
- Work as integral team member on projects advancing the organization's animal protection mission under guidance of experienced attorneys.
- Requires rising 2L, 3L, or LLM status at ABA-accredited law school with strong legal research and writing skills.
- Superior communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and remotely essential.
- Spring 2027 position (mid-January to early May); part-time (5–15 hours/week); uncompensated but may qualify for academic credit or pro bono hours.
