Mission
What you will drive
- Train clients on nonprofit finance basics, including accrual accounting, grant recognition, restricted vs. unrestricted funding, and reading finance reports.
- Assist clients with strategic financial decision-making, including designing chart of accounts, budgets, operating reserves, and staffing models.
- Prepare recurring financial reports (budget-to-actuals, dashboards, grant reports, cash flow summaries) and support audit preparation.
- Oversee bookkeeping quality checks, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- B.S. in Accounting or related field.
- 5–10 years of nonprofit accounting or finance experience (small and mid-sized organizations preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, fund accounting, and grant management.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets.
Benefits
What's in it for you
$75 per hour, 1099 contract. Starting at 15 hours per month with potential for full-time W2 employment. Remote with preference for Columbus, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; or Washington, DC.
