Accountant (remote)

• Prepare and post accounting transactions including A/P, A/R, payroll, and journal entries for nonprofit clients.
• Ensure accurate general ledger coding, month-end/year-end closes, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare financial statements, and support external audits.
• Track grant funding, report budget vs. actuals, and identify process improvements.

• 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or equivalent accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP.
• Highly proficient in MS Excel and comfortable with accounting software.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and deadline management skills.
