Major Gifts Officer

• Develop and implement customized cultivation and stewardship strategies for a portfolio of 75-100 Major Donors capable of gifts of $5,000 and above.
• Nurture relationships through personalized communications, meetings, reports, and engagement opportunities to ensure retention and growth.
• Partner with the Senior Manager of Development Operations to track and analyze individual giving and progress toward fundraising targets.
• Oversee the Manager of Donor Relations and provide expertise in donor retention and relationship management.

By securing major gifts, this role directly supports Seva's mission to restore sight and prevent blindness in underserved communities, enabling cost-effective interventions that relieve suffering and reduce poverty.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional fundraising experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Demonstrated track record of successful solicitation of new and upgraded giving at the major gift level (five and six-figure gifts).
• Outstanding strategic thinking, analytical, and interpersonal skills; experience handling highly confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong storytelling skills.
