Legal Counsel - International

• Lead efforts in safeguarding Onja's legal interests as it continues to grow.
• Provide accurate, relevant and timely legal advice to management and staff, with a focus on employment law and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, manage legal risks, and design organizational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with external counsel and regulators, and deliver legal training to the organization.

This role ensures Onja's legal compliance and risk management, enabling the organization to scale its impact of training underprivileged youth in Madagascar into world-class software developers, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty and accelerating national development.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and high degree of professional ethics.
• Strong analytical and research skills; ability to work well in a team and individually.
