Head of Supervised Program for Alignment Research

• Own and grow SPAR, the largest AI safety research fellowship with 400 mentees, 130 mentors, and thousands of applicants.
• Push SPAR to be more ambitious by deciding on strategic expansions like mentor stipends, additional annual rounds, and enhanced research management.
• Hire, onboard, and manage research managers to scale the team as the program expands.
• Cultivate relationships with leading researchers to recruit and retain mentors from top AI safety organisations.
• Improve SPAR's systems across applications, matching, check-ins, feedback, grants, and Demo Day.

This role directly scales the AI safety research community by managing the largest fellowship, enabling more researchers to work on alignment and reducing existential risks from AI.

• Experience in program management or leadership, ideally in AI safety or research fellowships.
• Strong relationship-building skills to engage with leading researchers and mentors.
