Government Contracts Billing Specialist (Part-Time)

• Prepare and submit invoices for government-funded contracts and programs.
• Track billing deadlines, monitor payments, and reconcile revenue.
• Maintain billing records and support audits and compliance reviews.

This role ensures accurate and timely billing for government-funded housing programs, directly supporting the mission to move New Yorkers from shelter into stable housing faster.

• 2+ years in an Accounting Clerk/Billing Associate role, or an associate's degree in accounting with 1+ years relevant experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Working knowledge of Excel; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Competitive pay: $35,000 - $40,000/year (part-time, ~20 hrs/week). Predominantly remote work with occasional in-person meetings. Not eligible for full benefits at this hours level, but potential for growth.
