Fractional Controller

• Own accounting, compliance, and reporting across three nonprofit entities including a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC.
• Manage monthly close, review bookkeeper work, and produce audit-ready financial reports by entity and department.
• Coordinate multi-entity compliance including IRS filings, state tax, FEC reporting, and corporate governance.
• Build cash flow forecasts, develop annual budgets, and surface financial risks to leadership.
• Manage the bookkeeper, oversee expense systems, and maintain internal controls and audit readiness.

This role ensures financial integrity and compliance for an organization advancing AI policy, enabling effective resource allocation and trust among stakeholders.

• Proven experience as a controller or senior accountant, ideally with multi-entity nonprofit organizations.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting standards, IRS compliance, and FEC reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
