Job description
Lead fundraising strategy and grant applications for Iliad's incubated AI alignment research organizations.
- Own funder strategy, application timelines, and grant submissions for multiple research orgs; work closely with PIs to shape research into compelling narratives.
- Maintain a working map of alignment funders, their priorities, and funding rounds; coordinate budgets and track pending grants.
- Strong writing and organizational skills essential; ability to translate technical research into funder-ready language without overselling.
- Technical grounding in AI alignment research required; STEM background or prior Iliad program participation strongly preferred.
- Strategic judgment to evaluate which funding opportunities are worth pursuing and push back on overclaimed pitches.
