Finance Specialist

• Lead payroll administration, financial record-keeping, and budget monitoring for a US and UK AI safety research organization.
• Maintain accurate books in Xero including bank reconciliations, transaction coding, and month-end close.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and financial reports for leadership and the board.
• Manage accounts payable using Ramp and Mercury, process bills, expenses, and payment runs.

This role ensures the financial health and transparency of an AI safety research organization, enabling it to focus on reducing risks from advanced AI.

• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• Experience with accounts payable and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with US and UK financial regulations.
