Home visitors, early interventionists, child welfare staff, doulas, pediatric and mental health clinicians, and early educators turn to AIMHiTN to earn credentials, sharpen their skills, and find support when the work gets heavy. AIMHiTN then carries what the field learns to the people who write policy and fund services. The Board is seeking AIMHiTN’s second Executive Director. The organization has grown from a grassroots coalition into a statewide association with a $1.9 million budget and a staff of 10. The next leader will inherit a nationally recognized credential, strong state and national partnerships, and a committed team. The Role The Executive Director reports to the Board and serves as AIMHiTN’s chief executive and public voice. The priorities for this role are clear: Build a diversified revenue base that reduces reliance on state grants Lead a dedicated team through the organization’s first leadership transition Advance Tennessee’s infant and early childhood mental health workforce and the policies that support it Who We’re Looking For Candidates should bring seven or more years of nonprofit leadership, a record of raising revenue from multiple sources, and working knowledge of infant and early childhood mental health and reflective practice. Experience with state agencies and the policy arena is important. IMH-E® or ECMH-E® Endorsement is a plus, and a willingness to pursue Endorsement within two years is welcome. How to Apply Email a résumé and cover letter to [email protected] by November 20, 2026. Applications are reviewed as they arrive, and early applications are appreciated. In your cover letter, share one example of how you made an organization’s programs and leadership reach both rural and urban communities. What did you do, and what changed? AIMHiTN is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a team that reflects the communities and professionals it serves across Tennessee. Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, and reasonable accommodations are available at every stage of the process.
