English/Arabic Translator (Consultant)

• Translate SJAC's articles, reports, and social media posts from English to Arabic.
• Occasionally translate short documents from Arabic to English.
• Coordinate with SJAC staff to ensure correct translation of difficult or sensitive terminology.

This role supports SJAC's mission to document human rights violations in Syria, ensuring that critical information is accessible to Arabic-speaking audiences and contributing to accountability and justice efforts.

• 2+ years of professional English-Arabic translation experience.
• Translation speed of 2000–3500 words per day.
• Full professional fluency in Arabic with exceptional grammar.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Remote work with flexible hours. Contract until September 30, 2026, with opportunity to extend. Anticipated workload of 5,000–10,000 words per month.
