How to Apply for Economist and Cost-Effectiveness Unit Lead, Research and Evaluation
at IDinsight
🏢 About IDinsight
IDinsight is a research nonprofit that partners with development organizations to evaluate and improve the impact of their programs. Unlike traditional consultancies, IDinsight embeds rigorous evidence generation and data-driven decision-making into the operations of governments, NGOs, and multilaterals. Working here means directly contributing to more effective and cost-efficient social programs worldwide.
About This Role
As the Economist and Cost-Effectiveness Unit Lead, you will build and lead a new unit dedicated to helping organizations optimize impact per dollar. You will design cost-effectiveness audits, facilitate intervention design workshops, and create resource allocation tools for complex implementing organizations. This role is pivotal in shaping IDinsight's service offerings and driving sector-wide adoption of standardized cost-effectiveness methodologies.
💡 A Day in the Life
You might start your day reviewing cost data from a partner NGO's program, then lead a virtual workshop to help their team redesign an intervention for greater cost-efficiency. Later, you'd collaborate with IDinsight colleagues to draft a guide on cost monitoring systems, ensuring it's practical for sector-wide use.
