Desk Assistant - Sovereign, Supranational & Agency

• Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to brokers on the SSA desk, ensuring efficient running of trading activity.
• Accurately capture and maintain trade details, monitor and reconcile trades, and resolve discrepancies.
• Update live trading screens with real-time market prices and assist with price discovery and liquidity identification.
• Contribute to desk reporting, process improvements, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This role supports the efficient functioning of the SSA desk, which facilitates liquidity and price discovery in government and quasi-government bond markets, contributing to stable and transparent financial markets that underpin economic development and public financing.

• Educated to GCSE and/or A-Level standard (or equivalent).
• Demonstrable interest in financial markets, particularly fixed income or government-related debt markets.
• Strong attention to detail, high numeracy, and proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to perform in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with strong communication skills.
