Deputy General Counsel- General Corporate/Finance

Core responsibilities:

• Provide legal support for project financing and renewable energy certificates (RECs) transactions, handle entity formation and registration, and ensure compliance with various state and federal filings
• Conduct due diligence on real estate matters, identify and resolve title and survey issues impacting solar project sites, and collaborate with non-legal business teams throughout project life cycles
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to real estate and renewable energy development, and stay informed of evolving legal trends and regulatory changes
• Partner with the Business Development team to structure and close deals efficiently, and act as a trusted legal advisor to leadership on corporate governance and risk mitigation

This role supports Solar Landscape's mission to accelerate commercial rooftop solar deployment across the U.S., transforming rooftops into local power plants to build clean energy faster and reshape how energy gets built in America.

Required qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
• 4+ years of relevant legal experience in corporate law, including project finance and/or M&A (experience within the renewable energy sector is ideal)
• Strong experience in contract negotiation and corporate regulatory compliance
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
