Mission

What you will drive

  • Lead the development and execution of the ACLU of Florida's overarching communications strategy in partnership with the Communications Director.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Communications Department, including supervising staff, managing workflows, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Develop and oversee integrated, multi-platform communications campaigns, including media relations, content creation, and crisis communications.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, political science, media studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional communications experience, including at least three (3) years in a leadership, management, or senior strategist role with supervisory responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading communications strategy in an advocacy, nonprofit, political, governmental, or comparable agency environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and editorial judgment across a broad range of formats.
