Data Scientist

• Review and analyze changes in public voter registration data and absentee ballot data to provide election officials with timely insights.
• Write and present data reports accessible to team, partners, and election administrators.
• Conduct legal/policy research to provide context for reports and contribute to research on election administration policies.
• Partner with colleagues across Protect Democracy to enhance their work with data analyses, custom tools, and automation.

This role directly supports free and fair elections by helping election officials maintain complete and accurate voter data, thereby strengthening democracy and protecting the integrity of the electoral process.

• Interest in public or civic data and commitment to data-driven and non-partisan analysis.
• Ability to communicate a clear story with data, both in writing and presenting.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
