Mission

What you will drive

  • Design and deliver a Climate-Resilient Labour Mobility Framework for Business, including a climate risk and labour mobility analysis, framework architecture, and pilot commitments.
  • Lead Africa corridor inputs, engage business actors for piloting, and contribute to corridor research and stakeholder engagement across Africa-Gulf, South Asia, and Americas corridors.
  • Serve as a thought partner to help IHRB develop its analytical approach and positioning at the climate/labour migration nexus.

This role will create a framework that helps businesses ensure their climate adaptation investments are inclusive of migrant workers, who are among the most vulnerable to climate risks, thereby advancing human rights and resilience in climate-exposed sectors.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • 7+ years working at the intersection of labour migration and climate, with demonstrable focus on the climate/labour nexus.
  • Deep knowledge of African labour context and existing relationships with African policymakers or regional bodies.
  • Proven experience designing analytical frameworks, policy tools, or standards for business audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging global brands or large employers in climate-exposed sectors (agriculture, construction, logistics).
